Part of the concept for this thesis booklet was to make information about mycelium-based materials more accessible to designers who are new to the field of biodesign. The booklet includes reflections on what a bio-based economy might look like, general information about mycelium, various material experimentations, my creative process while designing a stool, and a final conclusion. To engage the reader and make the technical insights easier to follow, I chose to accompany the information with naive-style illustrations.
